Pajama Party: How to Take the Trend from the Sheets to the Streets

If you told me that a trend with staying power is fusing fashion with comfort, I would say sweet dreams. But, pajama sets, robe coats, and slip dresses have made their way from the runway to the streets.

While the thought of wearing a nighty in broad daylight sounds like a dare gone wrong, the influences of Alexander Wang, Thakoon, and Chloe, have made this not only PC, but a fashion must. However, let’s get our sheep in a row, before I see you prancing around with a sleep mask. It’s all about the fabrication – no cotton jammies here. Choose luxe textures like silk or velvet. If the two-piece set is too Hugh Heffner for you, pair a slouchy PJ inspired top with classic denim or a structured wide leg culotte. Swap your furry slippers for a heeled mule or simple white sneaker. A bold lip is a great way to say hello world, instead of good night. Keep the silhouette relaxed—let the shoe, lip, or deep V be your femme fatale.

So my friends, how will you take this trend to from the boudoir to the boardroom…or at least the bar?
