Off Duty: How to Master Sartorial Street Style Like A Pro

Street style is synonymous with fashion these days. While there was once a line drawn between runway and ‘off-duty’, of the moment brands like Vetements & Off-White flipped the script.

What editors, models, bloggers are wearing outside of fashion week has become just as informative on trends as the runways itself. While the inspiration comes in part from the street, there has also been a shift towards a more effortless, no nonsense approach to fashion (blame it on the aftermath of norm core…)

Although, anything that is labeled “effortless” in the fashion world is comical, because we know if it was as simple as rolling out of bed and throwing on some clothes, the world would look a lot better than it does (no offense). So, I am here to help crack that code and lay the ground rules for mastering the coveted “off duty” look.

Basically, your new best friend. Whether it is a moto jacket or a pair of leather trousers, the sleekness adds an instant cool factor to your look. Pair it with a simple t-shirt (more on that later) and you are on your way.

I will personally mail you $75 (the cost of my recommended tees), if you do not get your money’s worth out of this investment. There truly is nothing like a good white or heather grey t-shirt. But choose the classic crew neck or muscle tee. NO scoop necks.

The glue that hold the looks together I don’t care if it is a loafer, of- the-moment sneaker, or leather boot, a more masculine approach to footwear steps up your badass-ness and anchors the look. A good shoe can say more than a thousand words…“I know exactly what I am doing.”

My Celines go everywhere with me, because if they cover half my face, make-up is not required. And, I can’t think of anything better than a makeup free Saturday.

Throw on an oversized denim jacket or the perfect classic denim and you can conquer the world. Invest in denim that makes you feel good (and your ass for that matter) and it will change your life. A great pair of jeans, a simple tee, and a killer shoe is the simplest, yet no-fail recipe for weekend dressing.
