Let’s call a spade a spade, denim is the fabric of our lives. No longer reserved for weekend wear or passing fads, denim is a fashion category. Walk one block at NYFW and you’ll find more runways and street style stars donning denim than Starbucks.
But what I love most is its accessibility. While I chase trends like a kid in a candy store, there are some that my practicality and bank account won’t allow. Denim, however, is not the case. With the help of brands like Topshop, of-the-moment silhouettes, in quality fabrications, at affordable price points are anyone’s game.
My love for Topshop runs deep. They just get it. Sift through my closet and you will find most denim pieces come from the British mastermind. From jackets to jeans, they interpret the runway and keep churning out styles that keep me fresh and out of debt (thanks guys).
If you haven’t gotten on the Topshop train, I’m coming to a stop to share with you my top styles. Price points starting at $70 (for real, friends) and at any size. Shop on below and holler back with your new found faves.
If the Straight could talk, it would say, “I know exactly what I am doing.” Anyone who is anyone is rocking this classic straight leg style. They literally go with everything (heel, boot, flat, sneak) and add an instant cool factor to your look.
THE DREE CROPPED KICK FLARE:
If you don’t own a kick flare style, your closet is missing out. It is an easy way to elevate the look to sartorial standards.
THE MOM JEAN:
The 90s called and they want their jeans back, but we aren’t listening. The mom jean is here to stay. High rise, relaxed fit, and tapered leg nail an effortless look every time.
Because everyone needs a skinny jean. My Jamie’s have been with me through thick and thin. The super stretch keeps its shape and squeezes you in where you need it most.
