From electro furs to marshmallow stuffed puffers, outerwear is all about excess this season. But, a trend with continuous staying power that laughs at this superfluous in the face is the camel coat.

Timeless, insanely chic, and versatile? You sold me. Camel has a way of instantly elevating a look. The richness in color and classic silhouette says I cost a pretty penny (whether it did or not is your secret) and I know what I’m doing.

My fave is an androgynous, boxy shape with traditional lapels. Pair it with a head-to-toe monochrome look or with denim and loafers. Whoever said a neutral couldn’t be a showstopper hasn’t seen the power of camel. Let’s show them what’s up.
